The brief for the project was to create a home that would be appealing to the upper part of the market, but incorporating something ‘different’. The solution was a home created with four pavilions arranged around central courtyard. The informal living pavilion (family room, kitchen and meals), formal living pavilion (formal lounge and dining) and master bedroom pavilion (master bedroom, ensuite and wardrobe) all look out over the view and to the north sun. The bedroom pavilion (three bedrooms and generous bathroom) along with the glazed entry complete the courtyard. With simple rendered brick walls and red colorbond roof, a ‘classic’ look is achieved. The view is glimpsed thoughout the house from glazed connecting corridors and large timber decks. (click thumbnail for full-size image)
