This plain single storey house didn’t do its site any justice; a lovely elevated position overlooking a long view. The approach to the house is from above, and the low single storey form just didn’t have any presence from the driveway entrance. A new first floor straddling the existing house provided a fabulous master suite, comprising a new bedroom, retreat including kitchenette and a fantastic bathroom. It’s elevated position and outdoor balcony captures the beautiful views peeping through the bush in the foreground. A real transformation! (click thumbnail for full-size image)
