The owners love this little lilac weatherboard cottage, but it was a rabbit warren of largely unusable spaces. The removal of an ugly skillion roof extension allowed the construction of a new T-shaped extension, the top containing a laundry, mud room and open-planned family room and kitchen, and the connector containing a new master bedroom looking out onto a courtyard. Opposite the bedroom and created by the ‘T’ is a new covered outdoor deck area, opening out onto the existing swimming pool. (click thumbnail for full-size image) |
