This federation-era home needed some serious re-organization; the kitchen was on the dark, cold south side of the house and the main family area was a narrow, closed in verandah. Moving the kitchen to the sunny north side and adding a new, high-ceilinged family room made all the difference. The lounge room and the new family room now open out onto paved terraces on the north side. A new master bedroom with ensuite and walk-through robe was the icing on the cake. A talented local builder fused the new work with the old federation parts into a seamless whole. (click thumbnail for full-size image)
